The Hotel Du Lac on the central promenade of Gardone Riviera enjoys not only spellbinding views across one of Italy and Europe’s most majestic natural wonders, it also enjoys a choice location the envy of other top quality accommodations around Lake Garda.
The Gardone Riviera is noted in particular for the Vittoriale degli Italiani, former home of the famous Italian poet Gabriele D’Annunzio; the Heller Botanical Garden, the Rimbalzello Park with private beach and the idyllic lakeshore just metres away from the Hotel Du Lac entrance.
Our choice position is also a great one for logistics, with the other places of interest in the region easily reachable by car - see the map above for routes and distances. What’s more, boat excursions leave from right in front of the hotel, so you can reach other beautiful towns or points of interest around this magical place either by driving around or by sailing straight across!
Gardone Riviera, a well-known resort, a renowned health resort and seaside resort, can rightly be considered a real "botanical garden" where the typical vegetation of Lake Garda is alternated with the Central European, Mediterranean and sub-tropical vegetation. The parks and gardens alternate along the shore of the lake with elegant historic villas that had been home to an international clientele seeking relaxation, refinement and well-being since the end of the 1800s. Gardone Riviera offers to its visitors a special microclimate, lush nature, an elegant atmosphere and a suggestive lakefront that is the heart of musical and cultural events during the summer season. The town is famous for the Vittoriale degli Italiani, the monumental citadel home of the poet Gabriele d’Annunzio, now home to a prestigious museum. Do not miss the Hruska botanical garden, now the André Heller Foundation, with hundreds of plant species from the five continents and visible in a path that winds between rocks and ponds.
